I went and got a pedicure this morning. I usually go to the mall, but today, I stepped out of my box...I tried something new! I had a gift certificate that needed using otherwise it was going to expire.
Well, I waltzed right in and got to go to the comfy chair with the massaging buttons and the swirly bubbles. My tootsies felt right at home in that warm, bubbly water.
Some cute little Non-American came over to get to work. Right away, I could tell we were going to have a communication barrier. I couldn't understand a thing she was saying...so I just kept smiling. I would say something and she would do the same...nod and smile, nod and smile. She was getting ready to do the painting and asked me something. I gave it my all, I concentrated as hard as I could...I just didn't get it. So what else was there to do, but...smile and nod. Maybe not the best idea...I had picked out a sassy lil' pink color...here's what my toes ended up looking like...
I don't even know how this happened. I was WAY to embarressed to say anything when she started her artwork...she was feeling really good about herself...with a big ol' happy smile.
So there you have it...instead of pretty in pink, sassy toes...I have pretty in patriotic toes! Oh well!
At least I'm in season!
